Draft Glasgow Gaelic Plan 2009/12

As a public organisation, we are required by the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005 to produce a Gaelic Language Plan.

Our draft plan for 2009 to 2012 recognises the important contribution of Gaelic to the history of Glasgow.  It sets out the actions we will take to encourage wider use of the language and a greater appreciation of its place in our city.

It is being circulated widely to Gaelic organisations in the city and beyond, to the people involved in meetings of the Gaelic Community Forum, relevant public bodies and the wider Glasgow public through libraries and our web-site.

The consultation period ended on Friday 21st November 2008.
