Regeneration

• City Plan – provides detailed guidance on the shape, form and direction of the development of Glasgow
• Economic Development Strategy – provides the policies and measures to ensure the continued growth of the Glasgow economy
• Metropolitan Glasgow - A vision for the future of the Glasgow City Region 2008-2013 – The document sets out the city region’s underlying objectives, agenda for action as well as performance measurements
• Transport Strategy 2007-2009 – this concentrates on promoting and enhancing sustainable transport modes such as walking, cycling and public transport
• Clyde Waterfront Strategy – outlines key projects along the banks of the River Clyde which have brought and will bring economic, social and environmental improvements to Glasgow
• Glasgow's Tourism Strategy to 2016 – this outlines Glasgow’s vision for 2016 to be a leading destination in key markets offering a unique, dynamic and authentic experience with three key targets
• Waste Strategy - describes the future delivery and waste management infrastructure in Glasgow
• Glasgow and the Clyde Valley Joint Strategic Development Plan - sets out a strategy for development of the Glasgow and Clyde Valley metropolitan area
• Housing Strategy - sets out the housing issues and priorities for Glasgow
• Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan - outlines the strategic measures and actions planned by Glasgow City Council to address the serious challenges the organisation faces as a result of global warming both now, and in the future

Childrens’ Services

• Pre 12 Strategy – the project through which the Council aims to create an effective education environment for pupils and teachers through good quality schools
• Child & Family Service Plan – the overarching document relating to children, young people, families and children’s services staff in the city

Equality and Diversity

• Integrated Equality Scheme 2008-2011 – this scheme sets out what the Council will do to meet its legal duties to promote equality in the area of race, disability and gender
• Equality Policy – This is the policy which will shape and guide the equalities work which reflects the commitment to providing high quality services that everyone can use and to valuing the diversity of the Council’s employees
• Racial Harassment Policy – the Council’s policy for service users or employees when they perceive they are being racially harassed
• Employee Harassment Policy – the Council’s policy for employees when they perceive they are being bullied or harassed
• Anti Racist Policy – outlines the Council’s legal and moral duty to strive to eliminate racism in Glasgow

Security, Safety and Investigation

• Covert Surveillance and Human Intelligence Sources Policy and Guidance – ensures that all covert surveillance carried out by the Council is done so effectively and in accordance with the law
• CCTV Policy (approved by Policy & Resources committee on 28 August 2001) – describes how the Council uses CCTV on its property and what use it makes of the images recorded
