Glasgow City Council Social Work Services Plan

Glasgow City Council operates a three-year service planning cycle, with plans updated annually as part of the Council's budget setting process.

Social Work Services is responsible for producing a Budget and Service Plan on a three yearly basis, with a review produced for each year of the cycle.

To allow the new political administration an opportunity to set its own strategic agenda; all Council Services are producing a one year Interim Budget Service Plan 2007-2008, to bridge the 2004-2007 plan and the forthcoming 2008-2011 plan.

A full social work service plan 2004-2007 is available. The summary review plan year one 2004/05 and the summary review plan year two 2005/06 can also be viewed.  This information is available in portable document format for downloading.  The Adobe Acrobat reader can be freely downloaded from: http://www.adobe.co.uk/

The service plan for 2004 - 2007 sets out our service aims and profile. It examines what we have achieved over previous years, describes our priorities for the future and explains how these will be funded.

We are keen to ensure that our service planning becomes more accessible and inclusive. We want all members of staff, service users and carers to have the opportunity to read our plan and to give us their comments, saying what they liked or disliked about the plan and how we could improve it.
