All local authorities, together with health services and partner agencies, are required by law to prepare, monitor and review plans relating to children’s services in their area. We have drawn on the views of children, young people, families and children’s services staff in the City. Comments from consultation were also taken into account in finalising the Integrated Childrens Service Plan 2005-2008.
This version of the Plan is a working document for all those involved in children’s services and provides a framework for planning and delivering our services, as well as meeting Scottish Executive requirements. All partners are committed to working to achieve the objectives and vision detailed in the Plan.
The Plan highlights the key priorities for children’s service planning in the City, over the next three years. It states what we will do to ensure that all children and young people have their specific needs met, and are provided with opportunities to achieve their full potential. We recognise that to achieve this aim we need to ensure equality of access to appropriate assessment and services. This means services being more sensitive to the needs of Glasgow’s diverse population in terms of gender, race, disability, age, faith, sexual orientation, linguistic or cultural backgrounds.
A public summary version of the 2005-2008 plan is available and can also be accessed in sections by clicking on each of the key themes below:

If required the full Plan, and public version, can be made available in different languages and formats.
In 2008 the Integrated Children's Service Plan Review was produced to capture the progress made in taking forward our key priorities and to identify some of the new thinking within the city, to how we will delivery children's services in the future.
