Direct and Care Services is responsible for providing a building cleaning service to Glasgow City Council’s 11 service departments. Typical premises include schools, community learning centres, Social Work Services establishments and various private agencies.

Building cleaning covers a wide range of services including general building cleaning, window cleaning and emergency cleaning such as that required after fire, flood or other emergency. The department carries out a daily cleaning provision that operates over seven days throughout the city.
