We aspire to prepare young people effectively for the world of work and setting a positive framework for learning.

Education Provision
The Education Department provides an education service through 30 secondary schools, 149 primary schools and 52 schools and units that make special provision for children and young people who have additional support needs.

 

There are 115 Pre-school establishments.  Free part-time pre-school education places are available for all pre-school year children, and for many there are also places for children aged 3 years old.
