Education Provision
The Education Department provides an education service through 29 secondary schools, 166 primary schools
and 33 schools that make special provision for children and young people who have additional support needs. There are also 16 additional support needs units.

 

There are 126 Pre-school establishments.  Free part-time pre-school education places are available for all pre-school year children, and for many there are also places for children aged 3 years old.
