As part of the service reform and modernisation agenda, the Council re-structured in 2007 and brought together the education and social work functions into one Council Service which will work closely together to deliver improved services - to people of all ages - in Glasgow.
The Service is headed up by the Executive Director, Margaret Doran, who is supported by a Service Director for Social Work, David Crawford, and a Service Director for Education, Maureen McKenna. There is a devolved management structure which aims to maximise the potential to make appropriate links across health, education and all aspects of social work services.
