During the Civic Reception and Prizegiving, Bailie Stewart, ICT Spokesperson to the Council said: "It is very appropriate that our ceremony takes place at the end of Glasgow's time as Intelligent Community of the Year, a global award, which recognised the benefits the City and its people are deriving from the use of technology. The applications have been of a very high standard and help to give an insight into the impact this can have on real people and their opportunities in life."
