Glasgow have been awarded a finalist medal in the e-GIF Accreditation Public Sector Awards, with a submission based on
e-GIF compliance.
Glasgow City Council made e-GIF one of the key criteria for the procurement process and ensured that suppliers focussed their attention on e-GIF as an issue for their public sector business.
The project chosen was the Council Tax Revenues and Benefits system replacement, (BRITe). The work done on the project ensured that an e-GIF compliant supplier and solution were chosen for the Council. The project raised awareness of e-GIF within both GCC and the supplier community, and introduced the Scottish dimension, OSIAF to the suppliers.
The overall winner of the award was the Department
for Education and Skills (DfES) – Data Services Group. The DfES was one of the first public sector organisations to achieve full e-GIF Accredited status.
