The Homelessness Partnership is a joint partnership between Glasgow City Council, Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board and Glasgow Homelessness Network (representing the Voluntary Sector).

These organisations are working together to reprovision homelessness services in Glasgow to eliminates the need for use of large scale hostels and provide options for homeless people which minimise the personal, social and economic damage that homelessness can cause. This includes eliminating the need to sleep rough and to reduce levels of repeat homelessness.

The Homelessness Strategy sets out Glasgow City Council’s vision for the prevention and alleviation of homelessness in Glasgow.

Through this strategy, the Council and its parties are committed to a long-term vision in which homelessness is prevented wherever possible. Where homelessness does occur, it will be addressed in a way that seeks to minimise the personal, social and economic damage it can cause.  A copy of the 2003 - 2006 Strategy document can be downloaded (2,973kb 82 pages).  A summary version of this document is also available  (283kb, 8 pages) .
