Sustainable Glasgow is a major city-wide initiative established to deliver a project programme focused on:
- Economy - Preparing the city, its people and its businesses for the challenges and opportunities ahead;
- Investment - Stimulating development in the key industries that will drive Glasgow's future economy; and
- Environment - Improving the quality of life for those who work and live in the city.
Structured as a city level strategic initiative, Sustainable Glasgow has adopted a flexible business model combining public and private interests to reflect the breadth and scale of the issues faced. By engaging across a broad partnership base and working to a broad definition of sustainability, Glasgow hopes to understand and influence all of the key social, economic, environmental, commercial and behavioural factors underpinning a successful city level response.
