Switch Off Monitors When Not in Use
Switch your monitor off when you are away from your desk and, most importantly, when you leave at the end of the day. Leaving your monitor on overnight is the equivalent to laser printing 800 pages of A4 paper.
If we all switched off equipment not being used then we could reduce our carbon emissions by 83 tonnes, as well as save on our energy bills. We are committed to reducing our carbon emissions by 20% by 2013 and we can reach this target if we all play our part.
