What Strategies and Plans do GCHSCP have?

Social Work Services, as part of Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership, have various strategies and plans which set out the Partnership's strategic aims and objectives and provide a framework for the planning and delivery of health and social care services in the city. These include the following:

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership Strategic Plan
In accordance with the Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014, we have prepared a Strategic Plan for the delivery of those functions which have been delegated to the Integration Joint Board by Glasgow City Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This plan, which covers the period from 2019-22, sets out our agreed vision and priorities for health and social care services in Glasgow.

Locality Plans
Glasgow is divided into three areas, known as localities (North East, North West and South), to support operational service delivery and enable planning to be responsive to local needs.  In addition to the city wide Strategic Plan, each of the localities have developed their own locality plans. These set out how the Strategic Plan will be implemented locally, as well as how each area is responding to local needs and priorities. These plans are reviewed and updated annually.

Annual Service Plan and Improvement Report
The Annual Service Plan and Improvement Report (ASPIR) reflects on progress in the last year and sets out future plans in respect to delivery of the Council Strategic Plan, the city Community Plan, and the key local operational priorities of the service. 

Glasgow City Integrated Children and Young People's Service Plan
The Glasgow City Integrated Children and Young People's Service Plan, which is a  requirement of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, sets out the strategic direction for the planning and delivery of services for children, young people and families in Glasgow City.

Where can I read about Social Work Services Performance?

Routine performance management arrangements are in place within the Partnership, which enable areas for improvement to be identified and actions taken forward and monitored on an ongoing basis. Regular operational performance reports, covering social work and health services, are produced on a quarterly basis. These are scrutinised by GCHSCP management teams and by the Integration Joint Board and its Finance, Audit and Scrutiny sub-committee.

The Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014 also requires Integration Joint Boards to publish an Annual Performance Report, setting out an assessment of performance in planning and carrying out those functions for which they are responsible.
