What is it?

Glasgow's Local Housing Strategy is Glasgow City Council's primary strategic document for housing.  It sets out the housing issues and priorities for housing in the city, and provides a strategic framework for housing in all tenures.

It represents a shared understanding developed in partnership with housing interests and stakeholders in the city.

Glasgow's current Local Housing Strategy 2023 to 2028 was approved by the City Administration Committee in May 2023.

Consultation and Engagement

Glasgow's Local Housing Strategy 2023 to 2028 is shaped by the evidence, insights and views, shared by internal and external partners and key stakeholders. Further details are set out in the LHS Consultation and Engagement Report.

Strategic Housing Investment Plan

Glasgow's Strategic Housing Investment Plan is a five-year plan that is updated annually. It sets out how the city council plan to manage development funding to invest in delivery of new affordable homes. There are associated plans and strategies that support the delivery of the priorities set out in Glasgow's Local Housing Strategy 2023 to 2028.
