You can order replacement Birth, Death, Marriage or Civil Partnership certificates for events registered in Scotland.

You can only order certificates for any birth, death and marriage registered in Scotland from 1855 to present date and civil partnerships registered in Scotland from 2004 to present date.
Please note that certificates may not be available if the event was registered out with Glasgow, within the current year.
No, you can order any birth, death, marriage or civil partnership certificate as long as you are able to provide all the details required on the online application form.
When you apply you need to provide:-
The fee for an extract is £15.00 plus postage. Subsequent extracts of the same entry, ordered at the same time, cost £10.00 each.
Once you have clicked on the checkout button you will be redirected to WorldPay which is a secure site that will process your card transaction.

You will receive an email confirming your transaction with your unique reference.
Glasgow City Council.
We will dispatch your certificate within 5 working days of receiving your order.
You can select the method of postage you wish, which can either be Royal Mail First Class post or by Recorded Delivery.
Orders for overseas customers will be sent by airmail.
Please allow at least 7 working days from the order date before you contact us or 10 working days if you live overseas.
If you still haven't received your certificate after this time, please contact us at genreg@glasgow.gov.uk to enquire about your order.
If we are unable to provide the certificate you requested we will refund the card that you paid by. An email will be sent confirming the reason that you are being refunded.
For all certificates that we are able to provide once the transaction has been processed no refunds will be given.
Certificates for events registered out with Glasgow in the current year may not be available.
These certificates must be obtained directly from the district where the event was registered.
