On Street Parking

Register for cashless parking

Cashless parking

Motorists are able to use a new mobile phone service to pay for on road parking in Glasgow.

RingGo allows motorists to pay using their credit or debit cards without the need for displaying a ticket on their dashboard.

This service has been rolled out to 1,060 machines across the City.

Cashless parking - how to register

You can pre-register with RingGo either by using the RingGo smartphone apps (downloadable free of charge either through your handset or from the relevant store) or on the RingGo website.

If you pre-register for the service you will be asked to provide:

  • The number plate, colour and make of your vehicle
  • Your payment card details

Alternatively you can register at the same time you want to park, either by using the RingGo apps or by calling the RingGo number which is 0141 530 3303.

Pay and display

Charges and maximum stay times vary according to the zone so the signs and/or ticket machines should be referred to.

Payment for parking must be made at the time you park your vehicle. Outside the times of controlled parking you may park without payment in Pay & Display bays.

Charges are applied on all public holidays except Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Motorists are advised to carry a supply of coins as the ticket machines generally take 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins.

Information on charges can be found in the pdf icon book of charges [172kb].
