The Lord Provost's Fundraising Burns Supper 2018 in association with our official drinks sponsor Old Pulteney, will take place on Friday 26 January 2018 in the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central, Cambridge Street, Glasgow, G2 3HN.
The beneficiaries of this event will be the Lord Provost's Charity Funds, which provides financial assistance to children and vulnerable citizens in Glasgow and the Lord Provost's Malawi Fund.
The Lord Provost's Charity Funds comprise of two charities - The Lord Provost's Children's Fund and The Lord Provost's Fund for Vulnerable Citizens. All applications come via Social Work Services and both funds' main income is from the proceeds from the annual LordProvost's Fundraising Burns Supper. The Lord Provost's Vulnerable Citizens' Fund provides support to vulnerable adults in Glasgow thus allowing them to engage in social, educational and community activities thereby reducing social isolation, reducing hardship and promoting citizenship. The Lord Provost's Children's Fund assists disadvantaged children and young people living in Glasgow, helping to relieve child poverty, advance educational needs and assist children who are in need by reason of ill health, disability or financial hardship.
