Early Years Assessment Service

The Early Years Assessment Service (EYAS) supports children from 18 months of age and upwards with identified additional support needs in the transition into Early Years Learning and Childcare Centres. 

Notification is made by Health services to the EYAS of children who may benefit from support in the transition in to Early Years Education and Childcare. The EYAS team work closely with parents and carers of children in their homes to support this transition.

The EYAS works in collaboration with Health professionals, Education services and other professionals to promote inclusion into Early Years provision.

The EYAS has ten Early Years Workers (Transition), five of whom are based at Duntarvie Preschool Assessment and Development Centre in the North of Glasgow and five of whom are based at Linn Preschool Assessment and Development Centre in the South of Glasgow.
