Organisation Name - Deaf Connections

Project Description - Event costs to deliver "The Deaf Friendly Southside: The Southside Deaf Awareness Month". The awareness raising campaign will teach Deaf awareness/basic BSL and lipreading skills to local organisations to improve accessibility and teach new skills to people with an acquired hearing loss.

Organisation Name - Gorbalites

Project Description - A laptop to support the Gorbalites 50+ project, improving the members ability to communicate with project partners, community groups and elderly groups.  The club secretary will train fellow members on how to use the new equipment.

Organisation Name - Holybrook Academy

Project Description - Activity week for the school's pupils and parents including city bus tour, swimming, art work, cookery, country park visit, trip to Millport, workshops and sports.

Organisation Name - Holyrood Secondary School Malawi Project 2016

Project Description - Equipment and resources for Holyrood Malawi Project, which will see 36 pupils work in Malawian schools and nurseries. Painting equipment and tools will be purchased in Malawi to improve classrooms and a new laptop, camera and projector will be used to teach in local schools.

Organisation Name - South East Recovery Aftercare Group (SERAG)

Project Description - Fishing equipment for the group's outdoor activities group. The new fishing equipment will be used weekly and complement the group's camping and cycling activities.

Organisation Name - Southern Necropolis Action Group

Project Description - New signage and gardening equipment for the Action Group and cemetery visitors. This will complement the Heritage Trail and enhance the environment by planting new meadow flowers and bulbs.

Project Description - A mobile stage unit for school and community use. This will include weekly assemblies, P1-3 Plays, P4-& musical productions, special events and community meetings.

Project Description - New equipment for Connecting Communities project, for local people aged 55+. Members have requested a bingo machine, and a new PA system and hearing loop will benefit service users with hearing loss.

Organisation Name - Citizens Theatre

Project Description - Pilot Comic Book workshop programme at Blackfriars and St Francis Primary Schools. Inspired by the Gorbals Vampire legend, the completed works will be displayed at the Citizens Theatre during The Man with the Iron Teeth's performance run.

Amount Requested - £1,500.00

Organisation Name - Cuthberston Primary School

Project Description - Redevelopment of school playground for the school's 80 nursery pupils and 120 P1 and P2 pupils. This would include story telling chair, raised beds and plants.

Project Description - Event costs for "Spirit of the Gorbals Sparks! Action Event". The event will encourage local people to apply for a Spark grant to run arts, sports, volunteering and youth development in the Gorbals area. A contribution will also be made to the Spark grants scheme.

Organisation Name - Glasgow Council on Alcohol

Project Description - Event funding for the Glasgow Council on Alcohol Reach Out Road Show in the Southside Central community. The programme will tailored to individual need and will include art sessions, music sessions, topical chats and befriending.
