Date set for Garscadden/Scotstounhill by-election
The date of a by-election for the Garscadden/Scotstounhill ward has been set as Thursday, October 6 this year.
This follows the death of Councillor John Kelly, who passed away in July this year following a period of illness.
Anyone wishing to stand as a candidate in the election must submit their completed nomination papers to Glasgow City Council's Election Office at 40 John St, Glasgow G1 1JL by 4pm on Monday, September 5, 2016.
Nomination papers are available from the Election Office from Thursday, August 18. The office is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.
