A two minute silence will be observed at 11 am at the cenotaph in George Square, Glasgow, on Sunday 12 November to mark Remembrance Sunday.
Lord Provost Eva Bolander, in her role as Lord Lieutenant, will lead Sunday's ceremony and the Moderator of Glasgow Presbytery, the Rev Ian Galloway, will lead prayers.
The Lord Provost said: "Remembrance Sunday is a day for reflection and gratitude for those who gave their lives in conflict to preserve our freedoms. Glasgow owes its military and veterans a great debt. We are proud to remember those who fell and to support our serving military."
The Lord Provost will be joined by Lord Ian Duncan of Springbank, representing the Secretary of State for Scotland, Deputy First Minister John Swinney, Brigadier Gary Deakin, representing the Army, Captain Chris Smith, representing the Royal Navy and Group Captain Kevin Bailey representing the RAF, Iain Livingstone, Deputy Chief Constable, Police Scotland and Iain Bushell, Deputy Chief Officer, Scottish Fire and Rescue. Representatives from Legion Scotland, serving military, clergy and others from civic life will also attend.
A Guard of Honour will be provided by the 52nd Lowland, 6th Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
Music will be provided by The Highland and Lowland Bands of the Royal Regiment of Scotland and Glasgow Youth Choir.
Members of the public wishing to attend and pay their respects should gather in George Square at 10.30am.
Meanwhile, on Saturday 11 November, Armistice Day, the Lord Provost will attend a service in George Square organised by Legion Scotland where she will read Binyon's lines and observe a two minute silence at 11am to mark the end of the First World War.
