You are giving us your personal information to allow us to process your request to participate in certain decision making processes carried out by Glasgow City Council and other public bodies. Participation requests are delivered in line with the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 which requires local authorities to support request from communities to participate in processes to improve local outcomes.

You are entitled to make requests to participate in the decisions and process of the Council as part of our role as your local authority. Processing your personal information is necessary for the compliance with our legal obligations under the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015. Where you provide us with more sensitive personal information about you we will process this information for reasons of substantial public interest as set out in the Data Protection Act 2018.
In processing your requests we may be require to share your information and details of your request with other agencies who are directly related to the process you wish to participate in or have been named, by you in your application, as agencies that have an interest or role in delivering the improvement outcome you wish to progress.

Or 'Public Service Authorities' as listed in Schedule 2 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015, such as local authorities, health boards, boards of colleges or institutions for further education, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, National Park Authority, Police Scotland, Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, Scottish National Heritage, Regional Transport Partnerships etc.

In some cases, you may ask us to restrict how we use your personal information.
