Applications can be submitted via the eDevelopment Portal, these will be received and processed but there may be a delay due to reduced numbers of staff available.

The Council welcomes pre-application discussions between a developer and planning officers before submitting an application. There is now a charge for pre-application discussions, apart from householder developments. For more information click here.
Public representations can be submitted through the public access portal under "View Applications"on our website.
In order to meet GDPR requirements representations may take some time to be visible on public access.
The representations will be acknowledged and taken into account in the assessment of applications as usual.
Paper representations should be made to Planning and Building Standards, 231 George Street, Glasgow G1 1RX quoting the reference number of the application. Please bear in mind that there may be delays in processing these.
Decision notices are being issued by email to agents/applicants. Where no email address is supplied the decision notice will be issued by post.

Where applications can be assessed without a physical site visit (e.g. through photos/prior knowledge of the site) then this is at the discretion of the planning officer, as is the usual situation.
Planning Property History Searches are still being carried out but Building Standards Property History searches are limited due to reduced access to manual records.
The Government has suspended the requirement for a public events due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
