What is it?

We provide bi-annual statistics to the Scottish Government which report on the speed of decision making for planning applications.

The Scottish Government, in conjunction with the planning authorities, introduced a new planning performance framework (PPF) in 2012 based on a balanced scorecard approach, covering the following main headings:

  • Open for Business
  • High Quality development on the Ground
  • Certainty
  • Communications, Engagement and Customer Service
  • Effective and Efficient Decision Making
  • Effective Management Structures
  • Financial Management and Local Governance, and
  • Culture of Continuous Improvement

Planning Performance Framework

The Planning Performance Framework (PPF) is our Annual Report to the Scottish Government and describes the performance and successes of the Planning Service.  This year the PPF captures the many ways we have responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. It highlights the central role of planning in supporting communities through a period of unprecedented risk and in re-imagining the city as part of our post-pandemic recovery.

This year we have created a Story Map, as a variation on our usual document which can be found below:

Customer Satisfaction Survey

We are continually looking for ways to improve the service we provide to our customers. One way we achieve this is by asking for your views.

We would like to do this through our online Customer Satisfaction Survey. Your feedback will be valuable in helping us improve the service we provide.

All responses will be treated with the strictest confidence.

If you have any problems with the survey please Email Development and Regeneration Services.
