Bard in the Botanics

Scotland's biggest and best loved Shakespeare Festival. Bard in the Botanics hosts a range of productions every summer in the beautiful surrounding of the Botanic Gardens. This year is The Star Cross'd Lovers Season. For more information visit: Bard in the Botanics website

Friendsfest

This is an outdoor event based on the TV show Friends where fans can learn more about the show, visit replica sets and take part in themed games and activities.  For more information visit:  Friendsfest website.

Children's University Activities

Tollcross Park Children's Farm

10.00 am until 3.30 pm daily(3.00pm on Fridays)

Glasgow's Countryside Rangers will be running activities based around the European Championships' sports and Animal Athletics on the above days. Come along and join in even if you're not registered with the Children's University. To find out more go to Children's University website. Open and free to all.

Please note these activities replace the Summer activities previously planned at Pollok Country Park Visitor centre which is now closed indefinitely.

Pride Glasgow Parade 2018

Pride Glasgow is Scotland's largest festival of LGBTI celebration returning in 2018 for a 2 day festival weekend at Kelvingrove Park. Come along and join in the fun something to suit everyone from the pride market, family area, stage acts, dog shows, fairground and more. Meeting at the Glade near the Burrell Collection. Join the Countryside Rangers and partners including Butterfly Conservation and RSPB for a family wildfest fun day. There will be arts and crafts and games, also the chance to meet either a highland cow or a Clydesdale horse. Come along and join in the fun.

Would you like an opportunity to get up close to our award winning Pollok Fold of Highland Cattle? Come along to one of our "Highland Hops" where you will learn about the breed and also see one of our show team stars being washed, blow dried and groomed in preparation for a show. Don't forget to wear appropriate footwear as we will be walking to see the cattle at home in the fields too. Meet at the "bothy" field behind the Old Stable Courtyard.
