The Gallowgate TRA is bound by Gallowgate, Millerston Street, Bellgrove Street and the North Clyde railway line. Key aims of the Gallowgate TRA include developing a sustainable community through delivering mixed tenure residential developments, environmental enhancements and improving connectivity to/from the wider area.
Phase 1 and 2, completed in 2013 and 2020 by Wheatley Group respectively, delivered 201 new build units (99 social rent reprovisioning, 76 social rent, 26 mid-market rent and 4 for shared equity).
Internal and external works were completed to the former Whitevale Baths, including an art and lighting installation to the façade and security fencing to the rear. Glasgow Building Preservation Trust (GBPT) have concluded a successful community consultation on feasibility options for the use of the Whitevale Baths building as Head Quarters for Possibilities for Each and Every Kid (PEEK).
The Bellgrove Hotel was acquired by Lowther Homes in March 2021, with support from TC:G. Wheatley Group are leading on design proposals.
There are three further housing development phases (3, 4, 5) which are planned for private sale.
