Our secure email process
We have introduced an additional way for key teams of staff to send sensitive information externally. This secure email process uses encryption software which converts the message, and any attachments, into an encrypted PDF. The customer receiving the secure email from us needs to register a password to view the message.
This secure process does not replace any previous secure email processes that you may have used when communicating sensitive information with the council - such as password protecting files. This process can be used in addition to these.
Our email encrypt function is currently not available to staff who work in schools.
To help you understand how the process works and what you need to do to view your email - read our customer support guides. If you experience any difficulty with our secure email (encryption) process please contact the person in the council who sent you the message.
