Though the formal twinning agreement was signed in 2003, there have been active links with Turin for many years. Turin is situated on the banks of the Po River, near the foot of the Alps in north-western Italy and has a population of 907,000. With its major road and rail network and international airport Turin is one of Italy's most important industrial and communications centres.
Glasgow University / Marseille University / Turin University - KA2 Erasmus Project
Glasgow Uni alongwith Glasgow Life and Glasgow City Council have submitted a project proposal looking at Higher education, research and students life.
This two year project will see Glasgow University work with their partners in Turin and Marseille on various research and findings in the areas of student life at University.
7 EAL teachers and psychologists will spend a week in Turin as part of an Erasmus Mobility European Funded programme.
