Welcome to our events planning page there are a large range of events which may require permissions and agreements from Glasgow City Council. Whether large or small, indoor or outdoor, small community galas or major international sporting events, there are officers within the Council who can provide advice and practical assistance to event organisers who are organising an event for the first time as well as experienced event professionals who are new to the City.
Your event type can dictate the licenses and permissions that maybe required. By choosing your event type below you will find information and guidance required to gain permission for your event.
Event Types
- Small/Non Commercial Community Events (free to attend / no retail - smaller/local events/activities)
- Medium Scale Commercial Activities (ticket sales / retail - audience less than 5,000)
- Large Scale Commercial Activities (ticket sales / retail - audience greater than 5,000)
