Limited release of Glasgow 2018 official merchandise goes on sale.

Bonnie the seal, the official mascot of Glasgow 2018 European Championships, has today launched a limited number of her own mini Bonnie cuddly toys in time for Christmas 2017.

After seeing how popular her good friend Clyde's mini toys were, Bonnie has released an exclusive number of toys online, alongside official Glasgow 2018 European Championships merchandise.

Glasgow 2018, the biggest sporting event to take place in Glasgow and Scotland since the Commonwealth Games, will provide 11 days of sporting action alongside a cultural festival from 2 to 12 August 2018.

Europe's best athletes will compete in 12 venues across Glasgow and Scotland in six different sports - Aquatics, Cycling, Golf, Gymnastic, Rowing and Triathlon.

Alongside tickets for the sporting action, Christmas shoppers can now be the first to own official merchandise for this world-first event - with a limited amount of t-shirts, adult hoodies and Bonnie hoodies for kids now available.

Gifts are available now from shop.glasgow2018.com ahead of a full spring release, and people are encouraged to order now to avoid disappointment.

Glasgow 2018 Championships Director, Colin Hartley, said: "As excitement continues to build for the first-ever European Championships, Bonnie the seal is meeting more and more new friends from schools and clubs across Glasgow and Scotland.

"With just eight months to go until Scotland is on the world stage once again, the first limited release of our official merchandise marks the start of people building the unforgettable memories that will be made during the Championships in August 2018."
