Bin collections for residents will vary depending on your local council. The below information has been provided by Glasgow City Council, East Dunbartonshire Council and Stirling Council. We encourage all residents to contact their local council for further information.
Glasgow City Council - residents whose waste is due to be collected on Cycling Road Race or Cycling Time Trial event days will be collected the following day. We encourage all residents to contact the Glasgow City Council customer care centre on 0141 287 9700 for further information if required.
East Dunbartonshire Council - residents living in Milngavie and Bearsden who were due to receive recycling and food collections on Wednesday 8 August are advised their collections will take place on Thursday 9 August and Friday 10 August. For more information on service arrangements in East Dunbartonshire on Wednesday 8 August can be found by visiting the East Dunbartonshire Council website.
Stirling Council - residents in Strathblane are advised there will be no waste collections in the area on Wednesday 8 August. Please contact Stirling Council on 01786 404040 for more information.
For businesses who leave commercial bags or bins on the street for uplift, please be aware that due to road closures your current waste supplier may not be able to gain access during your uplift window. You should contact your waste supplier to arrange for commercial collection once the road closures have been uplifted.
As we realise this is an inconvenience, Festival 2018 is providing general waste commercial bins on the pavement around George Square for commercial businesses to use.
