Board members sought for new Social Enterprise Board for Glasgow

At an event tonight to welcome academics to the city as part of the Social Enterprise World Forum 2018, Councillor Rhiannon Spear - who will chair a new Social Enterprise Board in Glasgow - will unveil the published document to an audience of academics and social entrepreneurs.

Councillor Spear said: "This is an exciting time for Social Enterprises in Glasgow. This strategy and accompanying board should signal to Glasgow's social enterprises that the Council will be doing everything within its power to help both promote and support the sustainability and growth of the social enterprises within our city.

"Our approach to supporting Glasgow's social enterprises will be a collaborative one. The strategy itself has been co-produced between the Council and Glasgow Social Enterprise Network (GSEN). In addition we are looking for four industry representatives to join our board. The application process for this is open now and I would encourage anyone who is interested to apply."
