Community Boost Programme

Aim

Community Business Boost (CBBs) is a grant specifically designed to stimulate business activity in neighbourhoods where incomes are low and few businesses operate. Its intention is to enhance local town centres across Glasgow.  Examples where projects have been funded in previous years include Calton, Parkhead and Drumchapel.

This is to encourage new or existing businesses to locate in these areas to help to improve quality of life for local communities, to:

  • increase local job opportunities;
  • improve local access to goods and services; and
  • stimulate local economic activity.

The Community Business Boost budget is available across the relevant, qualifying post codes in Glasgow North West, Glasgow North East and Glasgow South. Excluded areas continue to be City Centre, West End and Shawlands BID area. Premises within industrial estates and business centres do not qualify for this grant as the focus is on enhancing local town centres across Glasgow.

*(except City Centre, West End area and Shawlands BID area as shown below)
