The Glasgow Schools Hate Crime Slogan Competition will take place in September & October 2021 and we are delighted to announce details of the format and awards that are up for grabs in this competition.
Glasgow Hate Crime Awareness Week (18th - 22nd October) Slogan Competition aims to encourage collaboration and creativity that promotes an anti-discriminatory ethos in school communities.
Who Can Enter?
This Slogan Competition is open to all Primary Schools and Secondary Schools in Glasgow. We would suggest a maximum of 3 entries per class.
The Brief
Young people are encouraged to submit entries representing what combatting Hate Crime means to them, in the form of a Slogan.
Competition judges will be looking for entries that display thought and concern for promoting cohesive communities and challenge hostility towards protected groups.
Awards
There are two categories of awards in the competition:
(1) Primary School Award
(1) Secondary School Award
There will be a £250 prize for the winning entry in each category.
Judging
This Glasgow Schools competition finalists will be selected by an official panel of key people who are involved in various ways to challenge Hate Crime and to promote the reporting of all Hate Crimes.
