Data sharing with the NHS
The Council works very closely with the NHS in Glasgow, most notably with Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS Board.
To support this joint working, the Council and the Health Board have signed up to an Information Sharing Protocol. This protocol describes in detail the circumstances under which the Council and the Board exchange information with each other, how we ask for consent for information sharing when consent is required, and the circumstances under which information may be shared without consent.
