The GMB industrial action has now come to an end and we have produced some frequently asked questions regarding the impact the strike action will continue to have on our services as we deal with the backlog. This can be viewed here.
Please be aware that some of our services continue to be disrupted as we deal with the impact of the 8 day industrial action and please leave your bin out if it's not been picked up on your usual day and it will be emptied as quickly as possible.
BROWN BINS - KERBSIDE FOOD AND GARDEN WASTE
Due to industrial action recovery planning there will be no brown bins (garden and food waste) collected until 7 December 2021. Please do not present your brown bin until your next collection date after 6 December 2021.
At present residents can place food waste in their general waste bin as the service is focusing on the general waste collection service.
We apologise to residents for any inconvenience caused due to the disruption of waste and recycling collections in Glasgow.
Unfortunately due to industrial action there will be no bulky waste collections until 23 November 2021. If you have already been given a collection date before the 23 November 2021 then we will be in touch to let you know your new collection date. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused but this has been out with our control.
