Make a tax-free donation to your favourite charity

Payroll Giving December

  • It's Christmas - make your gift a donation that lasts all year round with Payroll Giving.

While Christmas may be a little different this year, now more than ever we should remember it is a time for giving and sharing.

Through Payroll Giving we can spread some joy and choose a different present by gifting a donation to any UK registered charity; this could be in memory of someone or to help someone less fortunate.

When donating you are invited to send us your unique Payroll Giving slogan - for example, 'Make a Difference through Payroll Giving.' The winning slogan will be used in a 2021 campaign.

Walk once a day this winter - take the pledge

Walk once a day

For a winter boost to body and mind, Paths for all are asking people across the country to join them in taking a pledge to walk a little every day this winter.

A daily walk can help to beat those winter blues, socialise safely, and boost our immune systems - helping us to look after our bodies and our minds during the chilly winter months

Tips and advice - and prizes

Every week throughout December and January, Paths for All will be giving away goody bags and some walking prizes sourced from Scottish businesses.

By taking the pledge, you will also receive weekly walking tips and advice to keep you on the right track.

16 days of Action November 25 - December 10 2020

16 Days

16 Days of Action Against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign running from Wednesday 25 November, the International Day Against Violence Against Women, until Thursday 10 December, International Human Rights Day.

The campaign is a time to raise awareness and to take action to end violence against women and girls around the world.

Gender-based violence is a term that is used to describe crimes such as rape, domestic abuse, stalking, and forced marriage that are overwhelmingly but not exclusively carried out by men against women.

There's many ways in which gender based violence can cause harm. It can be physical, financial, emotional, sexual, or cause harm and suffering in other ways. What all forms of gender based violence have in common is that they stem from and reinforce gender inequality.

People who experience gender-based violence often feel that they are alone, but there is a range of safe and confidential support available.

As we head deeper into the winter months during such unprecedented times, it's more important than ever that we take action to end violence against violence against women and girls.

Share your story

We'd love to hear all about your experience of taking part in the challenge. If you have a fun story or an achievement you'd like to share, please email details along with your name and contact details - and any relevant photograph - to Your Health and Wellbeing (on Outlook).
