Equally Safe at Work Programme Survey

Equally Safe at Work

We are pleased to announce that the council is participating in the Equally Safe at Work accreditation programme. We are committed to progressing gender equality in the workplace, and this programme provides the tools to take this forward to help make meaningful change within the council.

Over the coming months we will be undertaking a number of activities to progress gender equality and better support victim-survivors of violence against women. Gender equality is good for everyone and we all have a role to play in creating an inclusive and supportive workplace, to ensure men and women have equal opportunities and outcomes and that all employees are treated fairly.

Gender-based violence is violence directed against someone on the basis of their gender. 'Violence against women' and 'gender-based violence' are often used interchangeably as most gender-based violence is inflicted by men on women and girls.  However, it's important to recognise that most men don't commit acts of gender-based violence and that men can also be victims.

Have your say

We'd like to invite you to share your views by completing a survey here.  The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete. It is completely anonymous and will be collated by our Equally Safe at Work partner organisation, Close the Gap.

If you need any more information about the survey or would like this in an alternative format or another language, then you can email equalityanddiversity@glasgow.gov.uk

Further information on the Equally Safe programme and Close the Gap can be found here.

The survey is open until 16 September 2022.
