Your local General Practice is open, and there are now more ways for you to access the care you need, with appointments, face to face, over the phone or on video call.
When you call your local General Practice, the receptionist will ask you a few questions, this is to help make sure you get the right care, with the right person at the right time.
GP receptionists are professionals and are integral to the practice team, and any questions they ask will be treated with strict confidentiality. They are working hard to ensure everyone gets the right care, with the right person at the right time. They will identify which healthcare professional within your practice team is best to meet your needs.

Dry January - are you in? 31 days alcohol-free, a break and a total reset for the body and mind. Sleep better and have more energy, improve your mental health and concentration, save money and feel an amazing sense of achievement.
Evidence suggests that just a month without alcohol has amazing health benefits for your body, including lower blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes risk, as well as lower cancer-related proteins in the blood. See journal article.
This Christmas, you don't need to be drinking to enjoy yourself - you can start your dry journey earlier, helping you to cut down on your drinking beyond just January. It's your bootcamp for breaking bad habits and realising that you don't need alcohol for a happy, full life.

Support for Staff:
Grief affects us all in difference ways and it is important to remember, there is no 'normal' way to grieve. Many in the UK often feel lonely due to grief and the pain of loss can feel overwhelming, but there are healthy ways to cope with your grief and learn to heal.
This week is National Grief Awareness Week, run by The Good Grief Trust to help raise awareness of the impact of grief and to support all those bereaved. The theme this year is 'to open conversations and normalise grief'. Whether it is in work, at home, in your community or online, you can reach out and have conversations to support each other.
