Last year's Santa Dash raised £32,000 for its two nominated charities.  The annual 5k fun run saw more than 5,500 people take to the streets in a Santa suit and beard - all in the name of charity.  The Santa Dash has raised more than £100,000 for various charities since it 'hit the streets' in 2006 and is now a firm favourite in the city's events calendar.  The 2015 nominated charity is The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.  For more information visit: Santa Dash 2015

Building on last winter's successful first event, this sensory experience will encourage families, adults, children and groups to walk through the darkened upper Botanic Gardens with dramatic lighting, sound effects and music and look at the iconic Gardens in a different light. This year Glasgow Christmas Market celebrates is fifth year in the city where a festive village of over 50 wooden chalets will serve up traditional continental Christmas fayre alongside local food and crafts, warming the souls of visitors with a little Gluhwein the traditional "hug in a mug" and a lot of continental treats.  For more information visit: Glasgow Christmas Market

A mobile 'Dr Bike' workshop carrying out free safety checks on bicycles. The "Dr Bike Roadshow" is aimed at cycling commuters who will benefit from mechanical assistance, advice on city cycling.
