Glasgow's city centre Low Emission Zone (LEZ) will come into force on 1 June 2023.
A grace period however means that zone residents have extra time to comply.
For vehicles registered to a residential property within the zone area, LEZ enforcement will not start until 1 June 2024.
Some residential properties just outside the LEZ boundary may also benefit from the residents' grace period - with properties situated within the undernoted controlled parking zones also eligible:

Zone residents who require the benefit of the grace period are required to make an application to the council. It will not be automatically applied.

If you do need to apply for a residents' grace period, you should do so as soon as possible. Applications can only be considered however, if all the following conditions are met:
The residents' grace period will expire on 31 May 2024. Any entry to Glasgow's LEZ following this date by a vehicle which does not meet the LEZ emission standards, will be subject to a penalty charge.
