Glasgow City Council has a strong relationship with the voluntary and charitable sector in Glasgow. Council recognises the clear guidelines governing the role of board members when making decisions on behalf of their boards. Council notes the recent criticism by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator into the work of the board of the Glasgow East Regeneration Agency. Council therefore resolves to provide training to all Elected Members on their roles and responsibilities when taking places on external boards.".
