This is the list of documents available for the submission By Councillor Martin McElroy:- "That this Council congratulates those involved in helping the West End of the city being awarded The Great Neighbourhood Award from the Academy of Urbanism in London on Friday 8th of November 2013; that the Academy of Urbanism is a self-funded, non-political organisation made up of 500 leaders, thinkers and practitioners to help promote excellence in 'place-making' across the UK and Europe; notes that judges gave the Award after being given a tour of the West End to assess the physical, social and cultural assets of the area and visiting local projects and organisations, including the University of Glasgow, Byres Road Traders Association, The West End Festival, Friends of Glasgow West, GOW 'triangle community', and the Hidden Lane; resolves that this prestigious award act as a catalyst for DRS, City Marketing, the Chambers of Commerce and others to build on the success of the West End on how best to promote Glasgow as a place to live, work and visit.".
