Submission Documents: By Councillor James Coleman:- "Council recognises the progress made in conjunction with Community Safety Glasgow and our City partners in tackling prostitution; reaffirms its belief that prostitution is a form of violence against women and that efforts to tackle the issue should centre on prevention, early intervention and exiting for victims and the criminalising of organisers and purchasers; endorses and joins calls from City partners including the Scottish Trade Union Congress, NHS Greater Glasgow, Glasgow Violence Against Women Partnership and others for an amendment to be made to the Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Bill to legislate for this; and fully supports representations made to the Scottish Government to this effect by Community Safety Glasgow."
