This is the list of documents available for the submission By Councillor Kieran Wild:- "Council supports the principle of subsidiarity and the European Charter for Local Self Government, notes the powers (known as 'general competence') routinely exercised by local government in other EU countries to act for the benefit of their citizens on any topics not expressly prohibited, believes that respect for local democracy means permitting and expecting locally elected politicians to make strategic decisions locally. Council notes that Councils in England have had such powers since 2011. Council instructs the Leader of the Council to write to Scottish Government ministers and to Glasgow's would-be Scottish Parliamentary representatives asking them if elected to use the powers they have to take action and devolve powers to Scottish local authorities by granting general competence to Scottish Councils.".
