What is it?

Glasgow is one of the United Kingdom's most important historic cities with many listed buildings by architects of world renown.

Historic Environment Scotland (HES) and Glasgow City Council are working in partnership to protect and promote Glasgow's built heritage.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should either own the building or hold a full repairing lease with at least 21 years to run. Owners of historic buildings may be eligible for assistance with the cost of repairs.

Eligible works include:-

  • The repair or reinstatement of original architectural features such as windows, decorative work and railings.
  • The repair of structural elements including masonry, roofs and joinery

Grants will not be available for routine maintenance and minor repairs, the repair or installation of services or extensions, alterations or demolition.
