About us

We operate two community facilities in Glasgow - The Ashgill Recreation Centre (ARC) and The Maryhill HUB.

The ARC was opened in 2008 and is situated in the city's Milton area in North Glasgow. The centre provides a variety of sports and activities in a safe and welcoming environment for young people and the community as a whole. Both centres offer a range of community services aimed at preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, while promoting social inclusion and a sense of community.

The Ashgill Recreation Centre (ARC) is located within the heart of the Milton area of North Glasgow. The centre is open Tuesday to Saturday and boasts a number of programmes and projects including a Community Gym, Click and Connect Learning Centre, Birthday Party booking, Soft Play and Under 5's Area, Bubble Football, Community Café and so much more...

Community Café 

Our community café is open throughout the day Tuesday to Saturday serving breakfast, lunch, snacks as well as tea and coffee. The café also has free wi-fi.

Bubble Football

The ARC has Bubble Footballs which can be hired within our large sports hall.

Main Hall 

The ARC's main hall can be used for a number of different sports like badminton, football and fitness classes, and is available to hire.

Birthday Parties 

We have a number of options available for kids' birthday parties. With an on-site bouncy castle, soft play area, music system and catering, we can provide an afternoon to remember. To book a birthday party at the centre, pop in and speak to the staff or call 0141 772 7993.

The ARC Main Hall is the perfect space for children's birthday parties. We have two birthday party slots of Saturday afternoons: 12pm - 2pm and 3pm - 5pm

Option 1: SILVER PACKAGE: 2 hours hall hire, soft play and use of music system: £90

Option 2: GOLD PACKAGE: 2 hours hall hire, Soft Play, Bouncy Castle and Music System £130

Option 3: PLATINUM: 2 hours hall hire, Soft Play, 2x Bouncy Castles and Music System: £160

*Please note a £20 booking fee is charged to secure your party. This is deducted from your balance. This amount is non-refundable.

Full day PLATINUM: We offer a double hire of the hall for Birthday Parties from 12-5pm for an excellent price of £300. This includes everything within the PLATINUM package. 

Activities and Programmes 

The centre has a range of activities and programmes taking place throughout the year. Just pop in or visit our Facebook page to find out what's on.

Gym and Fitness Centre 

For £25 per year (£13 from July to end of year) you can access our fantastic gym and fitness centre. Simply complete a membership form and take part in an induction and you can access the gym Tuesday to Saturday, 9am till 9pm.

Click and Connect

Thanks to our partnership with the Wheatley Group, Cube Housing and Glasgow Kelvin College, our Click and Connect Learning Centre opened in 2014. The learning centre has 20 PCs with internet access, which can be accessed for FREE. We're also introducing a number of basic and introductory computing courses. Boxing Gym

The boxing gym is open to young people and adults. Both group have specific time slots adults; Monday - Thursday 6-7pm £2 per session, kids; Tuesday and Thursday 5-6pm £1 per session. For further info contact the ARC on 0141 772 7993 or North Glasgow ABC Boxing on facebook.

Opening Times

We are open from 9.00am - 9.00pm Tuesday to Friday and 9.00am - 6.00pm on a Saturday

Steering Group 

The staff at the ARC are bringing together a steering group of the centre's users to help fundraise for activities and programmes within the centre. If you're interested in joining the steering group, let the staff in the centre know.
