Care and Repair Service
What is it?
Glasgow Care and Repair assists home owners where all members of the household are aged 65 and over or have a disability to organise repairs to the fabric of their property or help to carry out adaptation works.
This assistance generally comprises:
- identifying defects
- obtaining quotations for the work involved
- Liasing with the contractor and client throughout the course of the work
Handy Person Service
A Handy Person Service is also available to owners providing help with small repairs and tasks around the home. The service is free, although there may be a charge for materials required to be purchased by the Handyperson.
The Home from Hospital Service provides practical assistance to patients aged 65 or over for their discharge from hospital to ensure they are returning to a home which is safe and secure.
