BAME Network Event - your voice matters.  Register now

Equality and Diversity

The first BAME network event of 2021 will take place on:

  • Thursday 29 April, 2.30pm till 4pm - on Teams

It's been a difficult year for everyone, especially for the black and minority ethnic community. As we begin the careful journey back to some form of normality, it's clear that there are challenges still ahead.

Now more than ever we need to connect with one another again - to check how we are, enjoy some lively chatter and decide how we develop an active, representative and self-governed network. The BAME network provides a space to have important conversations on key issues such as the impact of COVID-19, Black Lives Matter, Sewell Commission and more; it can also help to identify how we can support one another to face the challenges ahead.

We look forward to seeing you - we value your input.

Please pass this information on to any colleagues you think would be interested.

For a boost to body and mind, connect to nature this Spring

Spring Path Days

Paths for All have launched their Spring Path Days campaign which is all about enjoying and connecting with nature and making new memories as a family.

Spending time outdoors and connecting with nature can give a huge boost to our mental and physical wellbeing. People who connect with nature and spend time enjoying the outdoors are more likely to feel happier and have less feelings of sadness or worry.

Connecting with nature is all about focusing on what's happening in the natural world, taking in the sights, sounds, scents and sensations of our surroundings. You can do this almost anywhere: from your window to your garden, a stroll to your local shops to a woodland walk.

By spending some time 'in the moment', you and your family can enjoy feeling more relaxed as well as being more connected to the natural world around you.

Spring Path Days competition

This month Paths for All will be sharing some easy ways we can all enjoy exploring the outdoors. They will also be giving away 10 cool den-building kits, and one lucky family will also win £500 worth of outdoor equipment for their school.
