Glasgow families have been given an update on the industrial action being taken in relation to pay claims.
Douglas Hutchison, Executive Director of Education has written to parents and carers to inform them that all nurseries, primaries, secondaries and ASL schools will be closed on the 26th, 27th and 28th September 2023 due to industrial action.
The letter has been issued by schools to their families to give them as much notice as possible to make alternative arrangements for the three days of action.
Any updates will be posted on the council's communication channels ahead of the dates.

Unite and GMB unions have postponed their industrial action but our nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools for S1 - S3 pupils, as well as the Glasgow Gaelic Schools and ASL schools, will remain closed to pupils on Tuesday 26 September as Unision members are still participating in industrial action.
A reassessment will be taken on Tuesday to see if any schools and nurseries could open to pupils over the following two days of planned action (Wed 27 and Thurs 28 Sept) and families will be notified if anything changes.
Council communication channels will publish updates.
Glasgow Secondary schools - with the exception of the Glasgow Gaelic School/Sgoil Ghaidhlig Ghlaschu (Secondary) and ASL secondaries - will be open to senior phase pupils - S4 - S6 - during the three days of strike action.
Free school meal payments of £2.50 per day (£7.50) for all other free school meal entitled families (P1 - S3 and Glasgow Gaelic School) will be made retrospectively directly into families' bank accounts along with the October holiday payment if the strikes go ahead.
Any S4, S5 or S6 pupil who chooses not to attend school on these days, will not receive this payment.
